What is the Christmas Story?

Over 700 years before the birth of Jesus, a Hebrew writer said this: Micah 5:2 “But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah [the district in which Bethlehem lay], though you are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for me one who will be ruler over Israel, whose origins are from of old, from ancient times.”  What do we learn?  In Bethlehem an eternal king will be born.  Who fulfills this prophecy?  Only Jesus Christ, God in human flesh coming to save us from our sins.  This is the Christmas story we celebrate.

Merry Christmas,

Steve Bruecker
